End of Part One
After three years with Pig and Porter full time (but five years in total as a partner in the business) Sean has decided to move on. He and his wife Jacqui are relocating to Crewe to take over the Offbeat Brewery which will now be known as Tom’s Tap and Brewhouse.
It seems a long time ago that we made our first plans for the business and embarked on a journey that began with event catering and getting up in the middle of the night to roast a pig and ended with flat out production at our own brewery – and getting up in the middle of the night to arrive in time to start a brew. Crewe is only a slightly worse commute than Tunbridge Wells from Sean’s Whitstable home but no-one can blame him for wanting a five minute commute and a new project – brewery and bar – to get his teeth into. He has posted this about the new venture: https://tomstapandbrewhouse.wordpress.com/blog/
Mark, Richard, Jon and myself will all miss Sean and we wish him and Jacqui every happiness and success with the new business.
This of course marks the end of an era for Pig and Porter but also the start of Part Two.
We have built a great team and are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Riina Laats, Lead Brewer at Signature Brew and previously Sori Brewing in Estonia. Riina will start in June when Sean leaves and we are all looking forward to working with her.
